According to a recent visit by the President’s Delivery Unit (PDU) team, H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta remains keen on the ongoing revival of Nzuco to benefit farmers, create more jobs and support small businesses.

• 40% of Nzoia Sugar farmers arrears has already been paid
• Replacement of old factory machine parts, which break down frequently, to be completed by July 2022.
• Cane crushing to be doubled from 1500 tonnes to 3000 per day. Meaning more cane will be needed, more money in farmers pockets.
• Farmers will be paid within 30days upon delivery of cane
• Over 1000 youths to be employed during and after factory rehabilitation.
• Payment of suppliers and staff salaries to be regularized
