The late Fr. Christopher Wanyonyi`s tentative week-long funeral programme

Following the demise of Father Wanyonyi on Sunday, 8 August 2021 church leaders met on Tuesday, 10 August to make burial arrangements whose temporary plan is as drafted below;

Our beloved Fr Christopher Wanyonyi will be laid to rest on Monday 16th August 2021 at Kibabii Parish.

In the meantime, different priests will lead Christians in mass services as follows;

1. Every day – Morning and evening mass at Christ the King Cathedral.

2. Friday, 13th August 2021 – Mass at Kibabii Parish from 2pm

3. Saturday, 14th August 2021 – Mass at Bukembe Parish from 2pm

4. Sunday, 15th August 2021 – Mass at Christ the King Cathedral Parish from 4pm

5. Monday, 16th August 2021 – Mass at Christ the King Cathedral Parish from 8am

6. Monday, 16th August 2021 – Mass at Kibabii Parish from 11am followed immediately by a burial.

NOTE:

• The above follows a meeting chaired by Kakamega Catholic Bishop Joseph Obanyi Sagwe who is also the Apostolic Administrator of Bungoma Catholic Diocese.
