A PSV vehicle reg. No. KBV 917K that was destined for Chwele from Bungoma town had just fueled at Hass Petrol station opposite Bungoma Cereals Board when the driver only known as Kutalang’i coughed once as he started exiting the petrol station onto the dual carriage. He stopped the car, stepped out and started vomiting blood before collapsing as the conductor and passengers wondered what was happening. A well-wisher offered to drive the patient in the very matatu to Bungoma County Referral Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Peter Nyongesa the conductor to the Matatu and a resident of Khaoya village says… “He only took porridge and mandazi at the stage before we commenced our journey”. Peter also indicated that he does not know where exactly Kutalang’i resides but suspects that he comes from Romima and/or Ranje village
