Bungoma Casual employees are a disgruntled but ever threatened lot that has sufferered for long in silence having religiously been working for over 18 months without pay and with the fear of victimisation from Wangamati’s known goons should they speak out or hold a demonstration. This group of employees are like a caged animal that is about to explode out of its confinement and will rundown anyone standing on its way… They are loosing patience following numerous unfulfilled pledges from Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati over time.
The realisation that Wangamati is hellbend to employ Village admins with total disregard of the laid down procedures and subsequently the fact that they (casuals) have for sometime been working for the County but have never been paid for almost 2 years. They feel let down, abandoned and disrespected by the very person who was elected to protect their interests.

Today Friday, November 13, 2020 Mr. BRIAN Wanyonyi the County Casuals Chairman released a Communication requiring all affected Casuals to converge at Wangamati’s office on Monday, November 16, 2020 @9am to seek one more address by Wangamati

Bungoma County.*REF: CONVERGENCE AT THE COUNTY OFFICES FOR OFFICIAL ADDRESS BY H:E GOVERNOR*
This is to notify all casuals across the County of Bungoma to show-up without failure on Monday Of 16th November,2020 by 9am at the Governor’s office.
Following their consistent reluctance/unwillingness to address our case in totality for all this long, you’re advised to carry your particulars (Appointment letter to your place of work/department & National identity card) as no amount rhetorical promises will be swallowed any anymore, failure to which we shall document a collective Memoranda and sue the county for the injustices leveled against us for close to twenty one (21) months without pay.

#iKUWEiKUWE Updates has also been informed that the reason Wangamati is dilly dallying with payment is coz the list tabled in court has only about 20 gunuine casuals… So Wangamati is said to have asked them to convince to him beyond any reasonable doubt that those on the list are indeed GENUINE casuals by name, depart, work station, and supervisor where necessary??? This is where slay queens/Kings and other backdoor inclusions will see dust✔️
Casuals also think the workers union is not representing them well
